Ludacris Returns To High School
On Tuesday (13May08), Ludacris - real name Christopher Bridges - will visit Benjamin Banneker Academic High School in Atlanta, Georgia, to address students about various concerns facing teenagers today, including rape, gang violence and the pressure to sell drugs.
According to event organiser Tory Edwards, students have prepared for the ceremony by writing anonymous letters voicing their problems, which will later be placed in a casket and buried.
The star will also plant a tree on the school's campus, which plans to name one of its gymnasiums the Christopher Bridges Gym Of Dreams in the star's honour.
The visit will be filmed for a documentary series about the hip-hop star, tentatively titled Behind The Mic.

Mel B joins up with Janet
The Spice Girls star's last single Today failed to break the UK Top 40 when it was released in 2005.She said: "I am doing something with Janet Jackson which should be amazing. I am also going to hook up with Missy Elliott again." Mel teamed up with Missy Elliott for her debut solo track I Want You Back. The 1998 track was her only single to top the UK charts after she left the Spice Girls. The 33-year-old singer insists she isn't worried about going it alone again and is convinced she has the best people in the music business working on her third solo LP. Mel added: "I am not scared of having another try. I am working with the best producers ever. I am now 10 tracks in to my new record." The star's previous albums were Hot, which was released in 2000 and 2005's LA State Of Mind.

Radiohead and Beck reveal their favourite Sonic Youth songs
Radiohead have selected 1990's 'Kool Thing', while Beck has picked 1992's 'Sugar Kane' as his favourite track by the band.
The Sonic Youth compilation, entitled 'Hits Are For Squares', is controversially released through Starbucks no June 9, and is only available in selected shops in major US cities and online.
Other stars who have picked their favourite songs include The Flaming Lips, Chloe Sevigny, Red Hot Chili Peppers' bassist Flea and actress Michelle Williams.
Speaking to Billboard last year about their choice to release the compilation through the coffee shop chain, guitarist Thurston Moore said: "I guess, for some, Sonic Youth represents something that they don't really equate with Starbucks. But I kind of like the absurdity of it. Sonic Youth has always, in a way, made itself available to the super mainstream.
"I thought it would be interesting to have a CD available in a store like Starbucks where the casual consumer can sort of have access to it more readily."
The tracklisting for 'Hits Are For Squares', which also features a new Sonic Youth jam, is:
'Bull In The Heather' (selected by Catherine Keener)
'Sugar Kane' (selected by Beck)
'100%' (selected by Mike D)
'Kool Thing' (selected by Radiohead)
'Disappearer' (selected by Portia De Rossi)
'Superstar' (selected by Diablo Cody)
'Stones' (selected by Allison Anders)
'Tuff Gnarl' (selected by Dave Eggers and Mike Watt)
'Teenage Riot' (selected by Eddie Vedder)
'Shadow Of A Doubt' (selected by Michelle Williams)
'Rain On Tin' (selected by Flea)
'Tom Violence' (selected by Gus Van Zant)
'Mary-Christ' (selected by David Cross)
'World Looks Red' (selected by Chloe Sevigny)
'Expressway To Yr Skull' (selected by Flaming Lips)
'Slow Revolution'

Spottiswoode Film Crew Turned Road Builders In The Desert
The cast and crew of new movie THE CHILDREN OF HUANG SHI left a permanent reminder of the time they spent filming in Mongolia's Gobi Desert in the shape of a new pebble road.
Moviemaker Roger Spottiswoode called on his stars Jonathan Rhys Meyers and Radha Mitchell to join extras and crew members on an all-night hunt for stones to help stop heavy filming equipment and vehicles from sinking into the sand.
The Tomorrow Never Dies director says, "Great areas of the Gobi are just thin crusts of hardened sand, and underneath that it's very soft sand.
"Where we were there was a two-inch crust and, if you break through that it's extremely difficult to get back up, so if you're out there with 50 vehicles and they all sank through the crust one day, you're in trouble.
"We were sent on a detour by the government and we took a crane with us to help pull vehicles out of the sand but that was one of the first things to start sinking. So we had to build a road back.
"Our cast and crew of 500 people went out at night into the desert looking for little pebbles and bigger pebbles for hours and hours when we should've been shooting and watching the dawn come up.
"Over a period of hours we collected enough rocks and slowly we had built our own road to put them back under the wheels of the vehicles that were stuck.
"It was an enormous amount of work but I'm sure the road is still there. It will be there for the next thousand years, this short road that got us out of trouble."

New York City Opera commissions opera based on 'Brokeback Mountain'
NEW YORK - The New York City Opera commissioned Charles Wuorinen to compose an opera based on "Brokeback Mountain," the 1997 short story by Annie Proulx that became the basis for a 2005 movie that won three Academy Awards.
The opera is scheduled to premiere in spring 2013, City Opera said Sunday. It will be City Opera's second Wuorinen premiere, following "Haroun and the Sea of Stories," which was based on a Salman Rushdie novel and opened in October 2004.
"Ever since encountering Annie Proulx's extraordinary story I have wanted to make an opera on it, and it gives me great joy that Gerard Mortier and New York City Opera have given me the opportunity to do so," Wuorinen said in a statement.
"Brokeback Mountain" is a cowboy romance about two ranch-hand buddies who start a homosexual affair when they meet on the fictional mountain in 1963.
